About Singleton Computing
Originally established in 2015, Singleton Computing was formed by local owner-operator (Matt) to meet the growing needs of the local community. After a period of absence during COVID, Singleton Computing returned to operation in March of 2023.
With a primary focus on providing onsite IT servicing, we operate out of our private workshop in Hunterview NSW where we carry out offsite repairs and remote work. We also stock a small range of common hardware including wireless routers, extenders, monitors, power supplies, SSD's etc.
A little about me!
My IT journey started back in 2000 when I purchased my first desktop PC. This purchase sparked an interest that led to building myself a custom PC soon after. Next thing you know, I was troubleshooting family and friend's computer issues, attending LAN parties and so on.
In 2002, I enrolled in TAFE which saw the completion of certificates II-III-IV in information technology. During my time at TAFE I began working at a local computer repair business, then taking on an IT Systems Administrator role at a secondary school.
Following on from my TAFE studies, I have continued to maintain and develop new skills. Over the years I have earned a number of Microsoft qualifications, which include MCSA, MCITP, MCTS, MCP, and most recently becoming Azure Fundamentals certified. I am currently working towards the CompTIA A+ certification.
Now with over 15 years on-the-job practical IT experience, I’ve supported a wide range of clients. From working in-house at both a secondary school and private college at an IT Systems Administrator level, to working as your local friendly IT support technician. Some of the clients I’ve supported over the years at various capacities include banks, pubs, clubs, retail stores and more.
When I’m not fixing other people’s computers, I’m usually working on side projects, doing a bit of gardening, or spending time with family.
